Natural Cures-by Cher-Precautions

Natural Cures by Cher
Precautions

Herbs can be powerful sources of medication. In fact, herbs are often the point of origin for many medications currently on the market.
The primary difference is that by using unprocessed herbs, you may be receiving an inconsistent level of the active ingredient from dosage to dosage, and/or from use to use.

Be aware that just as with synthetic drugs, herbal remedies may also have side effects, and used in combination with other natural and synthetic medications may have other or additional unintended effects.

There may be networked systems that allow pharmacists to check that drugs you are taking don't conflict, but there is no such system that tracks herbal usage, if you are self-medicating. If you toss herbal remedies into the mix and do not notify your medical professional, you may be entering a dangerous zone.

I will suggest that you keep a journal of what you are trying, the amounts and the effects it is having, and share it with your medical practitioner (Physician, Naturopath, Herbalist etc.) so that s/he can take that into account when prescribing a course of action.

If you follow this, it may be easier for you to track what works for you and what doesn't.
