Cher's Spot Headaches, Natural Cures

Cher's Spot Headaches, Natural Cure

Most of us know what Headaches are all about, and for those who do, we know how much they can hurt! Headaches can be caused by many different things and have different severities. If a Headache or a Migrane persists PLEASE SEE A DOCTOR!.

Now onto the different things you can do to help alleviate a headache.
There is the Advil/Tylenol way , Advil usually works the best as it has an antiflammatory medication within. Please make sure you aren't allergic.

You can alleviate a headache with a cold compress, bath, acuperssure and relaxation techniques. You should minimize your exposure to external stimuli, exercise in fresh air and don't smoke or drink alcohol.

Create a soothing environment, free of light and noise. Ventilate the room, open window if it is not too noisy, use a fan, but don't blow it directly onto you. Consciously try to relax, preferably with the aid of a relaxation technique, such as yoga.

Acupressure can help, just use your thumb and index finger to press against the bridge of your nose at the corners of your eyes. Or, rub the center of the fleshy webbing between your index finger and thumb. This ususally helps very quickly

Try a soothing footbath
Heat up the water often, do this for about 20 min and after soaking your feet, pour in cold water until the temperature is lukewarm. Put on wool socks and lie down for about 20 min.

Try out these techniques, one is bound to work!

Memory Loss-Natural Cures

MEMORY LOSS

We all have a moment when we forget something during the day.
Usually it's something simple, such as our keys. Day to day living can get to us at times, we put it off to stress, sometimes we decide that we are just plain loosing it! When in fact its our diet! You are what you eat is the saying and it is more true than we realize.
Over processed foods, fast foods, grab and go foods, we simply don't get the nutrients our body's need to combat daily living and be healthy at the same time. Now some tips for enhancing our memories, and please what ever you do don't use those energy drinks, they do more damage than good. Fruits , vegetables and nuts, spinach, blueberries, salmon, mackerel, and yes eggs! Garlic, cinnamon, apples, curry, tea, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, and fish.
These are all so called "brain foods". Each one has a specific thing within the food that helps our memories to work properly.
I will give examples instead of listing each one, because that would just overwhelm you and I.

Blueberries, for example, they contain photchemicals called anthocyanins, which is what gives them their blue hue. These act as a strong antioxidant and according to studies improve age-related deficits in neuronal signaling, in other words, it helps you to think clearer.
Fish, the best brain food out there.
Now I know there are worries about the mercury in some types of fish, but if you are careful to watch where the fish comes from, try to keep to Canadian, Alaskan, and U.S. caught fish, the others are the worry for mercury.
Fish have a tremendous amount of fats, healthy ones, that not only benefit your diet, but help your brain to work at its best. Always supplement your diet with a multivitamin/mineral, because the brain is so complex that proper care and feeding remain a bit mysterious, just for added insurance take your multi-vitamins! So have a Garlic, cinnamon, fish, blueberry shake and it'll all be good........just kidding, yuck!
Supplement your diet with the proper foods and watch your memory improve daily!

Natural Cures by Cher-Christmas Stress

RELIEVE STRESS AND CALM ANXIETY--(Herbal Remedies) I don't think there is one adult, or maybe even student or child out there who hasn't suffered from stress or anxiety in one form or another. Christmas is the absolute worst time for Stress. We all live fast paced lives and sometime the demands of being a mother/father, student or even a child feeling the stresses of life, can cause us problems. Money, at this time of year, becomes a factor, as well as what to buy for whom and all those crowds. From neck pain to headaches to anxiety and panic attacks, lack of sleep etc...I probably could make a very long list, but that would just stress me out.... One of the best ways to reduce stress is with a proper breathing technique. Now I know most of you out there are saying, yeah, I've tried it , it doesn't work and I say you may be right, but I said the same thing until I did it right. It takes some self training and patience, but when done often it becomes second nature. The best breathing exercise is simply this , no matter where you are, you can do this. Breathe in for a count of 5, the breath should come deep from your abdominal area and fill your lungs in through your nose. Then hold for a count of five, 10 would be better, but make sure you don't pass out, then let it out slowly through your mouth. Repeat this as many times as you like, but don't hyperventilate (that is feel dizzy and can't catch your breath) Now when we are stressed we don't breathe right, our breaths become shorter and don't help us to relax. Also when the breaths are shorter your body isn't lacking oxygen at that time you are lacking carbon dioxide. So when you hold your breath, the more carbon dioxide your body is holding and this calms you down and relaxes you. You see, its not too hard and it can do wonders for your body and mind!
Try to have a stress free Holiday Season!

Natural Cures: PUCKER UP

PUCKER UP (Herbal Remedies)
our puss, yup, Lemons are the way to go for such a sour looking face, but Lemons are our friends, they are good, they can work wonders for many things. Use Lemons to soothe a sunburn, heal a canker, soothe a sore throat, help a hoarse voice, help with inflammation, relieve joint pain, watch a friend's face go sour, ok, I'm getting off topic. Lemons can really help with all these things and more.
You can clean with them too.
Lemons contain vitamin C, pectin and essential oils which help to strengthen capillary walls. The essential oils of a lemon peel stimulate the flow of lymph fluids. In other words they are good for the blood system! They also aid with Iron and Calcium absorption.
For Joint and nerve pain Use the peel by grating the skin from one lemon, just the yellow part not any of the white part underneath. Rub the grated peel into the affected body parts and wrap them with a bandage keep in place for 1-2 hours. For a sore throat, slice up a lemon, squeeze to taste and add to hot water, gargle when cooled, or just drink it down. For a canker , dilute the juice from a lemon and gargle or swish the juice in your mouth several times a day. Or just plain eat a lemon, like an orange, the effects are good for the whole body! Pucker up, and feel better!
