Cher's Spot Headaches, Natural Cures

Cher's Spot Headaches, Natural Cure

Most of us know what Headaches are all about, and for those who do, we know how much they can hurt! Headaches can be caused by many different things and have different severities. If a Headache or a Migrane persists PLEASE SEE A DOCTOR!.

Now onto the different things you can do to help alleviate a headache.
There is the Advil/Tylenol way , Advil usually works the best as it has an antiflammatory medication within. Please make sure you aren't allergic.

You can alleviate a headache with a cold compress, bath, acuperssure and relaxation techniques. You should minimize your exposure to external stimuli, exercise in fresh air and don't smoke or drink alcohol.

Create a soothing environment, free of light and noise. Ventilate the room, open window if it is not too noisy, use a fan, but don't blow it directly onto you. Consciously try to relax, preferably with the aid of a relaxation technique, such as yoga.

Acupressure can help, just use your thumb and index finger to press against the bridge of your nose at the corners of your eyes. Or, rub the center of the fleshy webbing between your index finger and thumb. This ususally helps very quickly

Try a soothing footbath
Heat up the water often, do this for about 20 min and after soaking your feet, pour in cold water until the temperature is lukewarm. Put on wool socks and lie down for about 20 min.

Try out these techniques, one is bound to work!

Relieve Stress & Calm Anxiety-Chers Spot

RELIEVE STRESS AND CALM ANXIETY--(Herbal Remedies)-Chers Spot
I don't think there is one adult, or maybe even student or child out there who hasn't suffered from stress or anxiety in one form or another. We all live fast paced lives and sometime the demands of being a mother/father, student or even a child feeling the stresses of life, can cause us problems. From neck pain to headaches to anxiety and panic attacks, lack of sleep etc...I probably could make a very long list, but that would just stress me out.... One of the best ways to reduce stress is with a proper breathing technique. Now I know most of you out there are saying, yeah, I've tried it , it doesn't work and I say you may be right, but I said the same thing until I did it right. It takes some self training and patience, but when done often it becomes second nature. The best breathing exercise is simply this , no matter where you are, you can do this. Breathe in for a count of 5, the breath should come deep from your abdominal area and fill your lungs in through your nose. Then hold for a count of five, 10 would be better, but make sure you don't pass out, then let it out slowly through your mouth. Repeat this as many times as you like, but don't hyperventalate (that is feel dizzy and can't catch your breath) Now when we are stressed we don't breathe right, our breaths become shorter and don't help us to relax. Also when the breaths are shorter your body isn't lacking oxygen at that time you are lacking carbon dioxide. So when you hold your breath, the more carbon dioxide your body is holding and this calms you down and relaxes you. You see, its not too hard and it can do wonders for your body and mind!

St. John's Wort at Chers Spot

St John's Wort by Chers Spot

St John’s Wort (hypericum perforatum) has a long history in medicine and has been used to treat many things such as depression and wounds among other things. Though it is considered a weed by farmers and can be poisonous to animals, modern studies have shown it be effective in the treatment of depression. It is often also recommended as a treatment for anxiety; however clinical trials have shown that it has no positive impact when used to treat problems such as Social Anxiety Disorder.

What is St John’s Wort?

St John’s Wort is a perennial plant that reaches up to three feet in height. It possesses bright, yellow flowers and pale green leaves with oil glands. The plant is native to Europe but since the age of colonial expansion it has been introduced across the globe. It is considered a weed by farmers, as it can invade and strangle local ecosystems and render land useless for cultivation. When consumed by grazing animals it can lead to an increased sensitivity to light, depression of the central nervous system, abortion of gestating young and even death.

Medicinal Properties of St John’s Wort

Despite its poisonous nature, knowledge of the medicinal value of the plant dates back many centuries. Derivatives of St John’s Wort were used as anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and disinfecting agents by the Ancient Greeks; native Americans used tea brewed from the plant to treat respiratory disorders; in the middle ages it was used to treat battle wounds.

Today it is known to contain a number of active agents that can suppress or increase the concentration of a various human hormones. Ongoing studies exist to investigate its use in treating conditions ranging from premenstrual syndrome to Parkinson’s disease. Although these studies aren't conclusive as of yet. St. John's Wort may be a treatment to be sought out by you and your doctor.

Please St. John's Wort can have adverse effects on some people with allergies, certain conditions, and certain medicines. Always speak with a doctor before starting with any Herbal Remedy.
